How do I earn money with Potrise?
You can earn returns this way:
Dividends: Receive a share of the project's income after expenses are covered.
How are dividends calculated?
Dividends are determined by:
- Total Income: Taking the project's total income (sales revenue)
- Subtract Expenses: Subtracting all expenses (management fees, project costs, reserves, etc.)
- Distribute Profits: Distributing what's left among shareholders
Key Terms to Know
- Fixed expenses: Predictable monthly costs like insurance
- Variable expenses: Unexpected or changing costs like cost of materials
- Dividend per share: The dividend pool is divided equally across all outstanding shares
Example Calculation:
- Project generates income after expenses: $50,000
- Total shares in project: 10,000
- Dividend per share: $5 ($50,000 ÷ 10,000 shares)
- If you own 200 shares: $1,000 (200 × $5 per share)
When are dividends paid?
Standard Payment Schedule:
Project Completion: After the project is completed and sold, profits are distributed
Special Cases:
Interim Dividends: May be paid before sale (for example, if the project sold off-plan or before completion)
